Powersurge - boosters only
Released in the Winter of 1995

This set adds even more of Marvel's most popular characters with Specials for each as well as a new Special for the first set of Characters.  Power cards and Universe cards have been reprinted in this set, so you can get more Teamworks but will probably be overloaded with low valued power cards and the other types of Universe cards.  These reprinted cards are only slightly different from the versions in the first set.  You may notice very minor differences in the artwork and there is an improvement in the type of card stock used.  Unfortunately some Specials are just a little too rare (like for Iceman and Dr. Strange).

Why is Powersurge such a good compliment to the first set?  If you can name any popular characters in Marvel comics that were not in the first set, then it's almost a sure bet that they are in Powersurge.  This set expands the number of characters in which to build a team and gives the original group a new weapon for their arsenal.  The game is still on the same difficulty level as the first set, so it should not take long to learn how to play any of the new Special cards, with rare exceptions of course.
