For the most part, I use a 3D modeling, animating, ray tracing program made by Impulse, Imagine for Windows 2.0. Don't let that 2.0 thingy fool you though. This is more like version 7 or 8 as they started with a program called Silver, then Turbo Silver, then Imagine (all for the Amiga) before they moved over to the Wintel box. There were 4 DOS versions before they made one for Windows and they are currently working on Imagine for Windows 3.0 as well as Imagine for Amiga 6.0. Also, they either have or are still programming Imagine for Macintosh, I can't remember if it has been released or not.
Impulse also has an organic modeler called Organica, which I have used too infrequently. It is a powerful blob-type modeler that is very easy to learn and is very fast. I only have one real object that I have made so far with Organica, a dragon head, and it still needs me to finish texturing (or coloring) it. Two images of this dragon head are on my Masterpiece page.
As any graphics artist knows, no 3D program is worth it's printed manual's weight in gold without a good 2D paint program. I had been using Corel Photo-Paint 4.0 since 1994 or so, but now it does not seem to like Windows 98, or vice versa. Recently, I switched to the latest version of Ultimate Paint 2.3. As much as I can remember, this program has many of the same functions as Deluxe Paint for the Amiga, which is arguably the single best paint program to ever be programmed by man.

Recently, I found a shareware terrain generator called Terragen. While it may still be in it's early stages of programming, it is a very powerful program. I hope to post some images I have made using Terragen soon, to help showcase it's power and beauty.
All of the animated GIFs you see on this web site have been created with the help of Gif Construction Set, which I found on AOL.
I have also used a
program called Smacker
for some animation compression and a few other utilities.
