This is the first picture I ever really made on my own, and it shows.
I made this in 1996 using Imagine for DOS 4.0 on the first computer I ever
bought. I remember that once I reached this stage I could not add
any more objects to the scene. I was running out of memory!
At the time my little 8 megs of RAM wasn't enough to load and process everything
I was trying to put in, so I had to work on another project in the meantime.
I was just happy I managed to get the reflection to look so good.
Like I said before,
all of my inspiration comes from a story line that I have created, and
this was the first to come from that. It is an early version of a
burial chamber of one of the greatest warriors of the story. As my
talent grew, I decided that this scene was not enough so I have already
begun reworking this entire project. Right now the new project is
so huge I have no idea when it will be finished. Although, even after
I say it is finished, I will probably think of something new to add anyway.
This was the image I began to work on when I reached the limits of my computer
during the above project. I again reached my memory limitation in
this image, only much sooner. On the far wall you can barely make
out 11 swords and a wood stand for each of them. There were planned
to be 11 more on the opposite wall, just off the left side of the image.
When I had added these 22 objects I had run out of memory to render the
scene. I was still learning how Imagine functions while working on
these two scenes.
This project was and
still is no where near completion. I wanted to add a lot of chairs
to surround the table, a throne to sit at the head of the table, and then
some other items to dress up the scene.
This is an early image
of a council chamber at a King's castle.
I have not had any
plans to rework this image lately, as I began working on the shack that
is seen on my masterpiece page and
then wanted to rework the burial chamber that is at the top of this page.
Once I complete that project then I will most likely begin this image all
over again.
