Overpower Rulings
Beyonder

Beyonder has some pretty tricky rulings that you have to keep in mind when playing him. Here are some common questions:

What do those infinity symbols in his grid mean?

They mean that Beyonder gets the highest value in that skill of any of his active teammates.
EXAMPLE: If he had Mojo (6/3/1/6), Rhino (2/6/7/1) and Leader (3/4/2/7) as his teammates, his stats would be 6/6/7/7. He gets the 6 Energy from Mojo, the 6 Fighting and 7 Strength from Rhino, and the 7 Intellect from Leader. However, if Mojo were to die, Beyonder's stats would become 3/6/7/7.

If Beyonder is left as the last Character alive, he gets the stats of the last character who died before him.
EXAMPLE: If the Character to die before Beyonder was the Leader, the Beyonder's stats would become 3/4/2/7.

How much does Beyonder cost towards sum-deckbuilding?

Beyonder costs 28 points towards the sum-deckbuilding rule.

Which special cards can he play?

Beyonder may play any of the non-OPD special cards of the characters on his team, whether they are alive or not.
EXAMPLE: In the previous scenario, Beyonder may play any non-OPD Mojo, Rhino, or Leader special cards, but he cannot play Hawkeye non-OPD special cards.

Beyonder may not play any OPD special cards. This includes "Any-Character" Special cards that are OPD.

Can Beyonder be used as an Activator?

Beyonder may be used as a One-Per-Deck Activator, however, he can still only pull a non-OPD Special card from under the Battlesite. The Beyonder Activator may only be used in addition to other Activators. Beyonder may not be used as an Activator if he is a character on the playing Team.
EXAMPLE: If there are twelve Special Cards under the Battlesite, there must be twelve Activators plus Beyonder in the Draw Pile.
