This set introduced DC characters to OverPower, as
well as the fourth stat, Intellect. It also came with many changes
to how a set is published that thankfully did not last long. First,
be warned that the boosters come in two types of packs, a "rare" pack and
a "common" pack. Also, many of the characters have Specials that,
to put it politely, are "watered down" versions of Specials that already
existed for many Marvel characters.
A "rare" pack is a booster pack that comes with
a rare card. A "common" pack is a booster pack that does not have
a rare card included. There is a way to distinguish a rare pack from
a common pack, and thanks to Norm Barth I should now have the specifics.
If you carefully fold over one corner of the back of the pack, the side
with the flap, you should see either a rounded corner or a sharp 90 degree
corner. A rounded corner means that the last card is a "normal" card
and that you have a "common" pack. A 90 degree corner means that
the last card is a Mission card and you have a "rare" card. If I
am wrong, don't blame me. Let me know and I'll change it and smack
Norm once for each common pack you bought because of this error.
Otherwise, this set is best for a die hard DC fan, as most of the characters
in this set do not see serious tournament play.
