Overpower Rulings
Dead is Dead

This errata states that once a hero is KO'd, you can't bring him back in the game unless a Special (like Dr. Strange: Necromancy, seen left), Tactic: Artifact (like Infinty Gauntlet) or Event like Infinity Gauntlet: Mad God Raises Dead) card specifically says you can ressurect him.

This ruling was first introduced before the Defeated Characters Pile beause people were using Web-Headed Wizard to ressurect characters.

As well, when a character meets the requirements for a KO, he must be immediately removed from the game. He may not be left in the game for any reason. If he is, then the opponent is considered to have reneged, because when he plays an attack for the kill, he must say so.

Also, when an Event (Alien Creature Rampages) or Special Card (The Elixer Vitae, Kirigi) allows a Character to stay in play for the remainder of the battle after they are KO'd, they must be discarded at the end of the battle in which they are KO'd, regardless of what Special Cards are played after they are KO'd.
EXAMPLE: The Hand has "Kirigi" (Play during battle. In the battle that The Hand is KO'd The Hand may continue to fight and are not discarded until the end of the battle) in play. The Hand is Cumulative KO'd. Playing an EK (May not be Cumulative KO'd for remainder of game) special on the Hand will not keep them alive after the end of the battle, nor will removing a hit.
